Achieving the Difference was very proud to be selected by ADS (previously SBAC) to collect and analyse public and private data for its annual Market Analysis. The public data showed that commercial aircraft deliveries are predicted to recovery after a short-term lull. Some highlights are:
- long-term growth will recover to previous levels
- deliveries lost in the short-term are forecast to be permanenly lost i.e. growth does not catch up with lost ground
- the significance of APAC countries and particularly China is predicted to be even greater than was predicted last year
Members of ADS can obtain more information about the Market Analysis 2010 outlook from ADS.
It is our own opinion, and not necessarily that of the data providers, that the regional jet market is becoming overly competitive with at least four airframe manufacturers in the game. It is interesting to see the narrow-body market heading in the same direction with the market likely to be shared by five or possibly six airframe manufacturers within 10-15 years instead of the traditional two.
