CBI South West Council tenure for Peter Roberts
We are delighted to announce that Peter has joined the CBI (South West region) members council and will serve until 2010.
From the CBI website: "The CBI is a not-for-profit organisation and was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1965. The CBI consults and supports its members through a regional organisation. Each of these 13 regions has a regional council elected from the members and is supported by CBI staff located locally. There are also 16 standing committees of the CBI charged with supporting specific areas of policy or members. Through this regional and standing committee structure the CBI is able to consult its members and involve them in policy formulation."
Peter says: 'Although ours is a business that can serve clients nationally - and even internationally - we are based here in the south west of England because it's such a positive, vibrant and beautiful part of the country in which to live and work. Helping the CBI and its members to enhance, protect and develop this through policy is worth anyone's time, and Achieving the Difference is happy to support the Council and its work. Our key focus here is on transport, land use, economic development, skills and regional engagement.'
