Making your communications work smarter
- Different marketing activities have specific jobs to do in creating awareness, establishing your proposition, and making your customers feel confident enough to buy from you.
- Marketing communication is a 4 stage process that works inside the head of a customer; by understanding this, you can make the most of limited marketing resources by ensuring you develop the right messages and the right mix of activity for each stage.
These are the key insights we presented to members of two SW-based business organisations in April.
The Institute of Directors (SW) business breakfast in The Greenaway, Shurdington, Glos, heard Clive Lewis explain the psychology of buying, and how businesses should approach the task of turning their potential customers into actual customers.
Peter Roberts delivered a similar message at a lunch hosted by the Gloucestershire Media Group, for its members, in Cheltenham's Hotel du Vin. GMG represents the interests of creative sector businesses in the county.
Both events were very well attended with lively discussion of the topic and positive feedback afterwards.
