Jim is an experienced aerospace professional with a passion for working with organisations to optimise business opportunities. To achieve this, he focuses on market dynamics and the needs of the customer.
He started his career as an engineer in the aerospace and defence sector before transitioning into the commercial world of sales and marketing. Now with over 35 years of experience, Jim has held senior management positions in a variety of market leading, internationally focused companies in strategic and business development roles. These organisations include BAE Systems, Leonardo, Panasonic, SAAB, Smiths Group and Thales.
Before joining Achieving the Difference in 2017 as Partner, Jim worked with the UK Government’s Department for International Trade (DIT) as a Specialist on the “High Value Campaigns” flagship programme. In this he worked closely with UK based organisations to assist them target export opportunities in the aerospace sector.
Jim is now Director of advisory firm Jetstream Consulting Group Limited where he continues to enjoy working with organisations across various sectors.
He holds a BSc in Aeronautical Engineering, an MBA from the Ashridge Business School and is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS).
When not working, Jim can be found either on the water or under it, depending on whether he is rowing at his local club or scuba-diving with his family.
