The Challenge
To lead the development of a blueprint for the formation of supply chain consortia and less formalised forms of collaboration for members of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance.
The Solution
Achieving the Difference led the planning and delivery of research by four organisations including Achieving the Difference. Research identified best practice, pitfalls, collaboration models, markets and capabilities.
The Difference
In addition to analysis meeting the objective of identification of a clear delivery programme the project identified real business opportunities and stimulated new collaborative relationships.
The successful delivery of the development phase, with clear evidence, has given the RDA the confidence to approve funding for the delivery phase.
In addition to technical project management skills, key to the project’s success was the way that Achieving the Difference engaged with businesses from the start. So much so that many have come forward to volunteer involvement in the delivery phase. For me to have confidence in someone with strong aerospace industry experience and contacts was invaluable to the successful completion of the project.
